1. Who was your favorite character (s) from the film? Why? My favorite character was definetely Derrick, because he was very aware and critical about the whole situation that was going on in Jamaica and never fell into the trap of hating and becoming part of that cycle of violence and corruption. He stilled believing in his dreams and fought for them as well and even defended at some instances the ones who hurt him. He represented a very different kind of a Jamaican citizen. a humanized young man who represents a light of freedom and unity in a violent and cruel environment. He represents the counterpart of the world in which he was born (Although he was still part of it and also putted his family in very huge troubles, besides his wishes to unite the fragmented society). 2.
